Shay & Amanda | Self-Uniting Marriage in Philadelphia, PA

When Shay and Amanda reached out to me, I knew that their wedding would be a dream to photograph! Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen change of events, they had to cancel. Despite having to cancel their wedding day celebration, they planned a self uniting marriage with their closest friends and family as witnesses.

A self-uniting marriage, also known as a Quaker marriage, is legal in Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania is also one of the only states that allows self-uniting marriages. It allows couples to tie the knot without an officiant.

For a self-uniting marriage, a couple needs two have two witnesses to sign their certificate on the day of their celebration.

Wishing these two the happiest lifetime together!
